    Not great wouldn’t use again

We booked for our wedding anniversary as we wanted something tucked away great start Hotle looked nice got into our room(the deluxe king room) it was very very dated nothing like pics on internet. The bed was awful to sleep in and we had a spa bath witch didn’t work and shower head which could only just reach above my head if I was sitting in the non working bath. We reported this to reception and nothing was done. You have to pay extra to use pool which we wasn’t told till after booking. Wouldn’t recommend

    Avoid it

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, anywhere in the world. On arrival you’re greeted by dead shrubs and plants at the entrance. Yes we’ve had a hot summer, but businesses are permitted to use hoses! I suspect they’ve been dead for some time. The receptionist did her best to enthuse but I could see her heart has been broken that many times. Endless corridors adorned with garish wallpaper led to the stairs up to another long corridor which looked like it belonged in a government building. The room, when I got there, was a return to the 1970s. Beige, dreadful faded prints on the wall, stained carpet - a far cry from what they show on the website. The bathroom…a peach coloured monstrosity with the shower over the bath, no non-slip mat or tail to hold on to. The toilet actually moved when I went to sit on it. Half a loo roll, no spare. The restaurant can’t even provide a proper evening meal. Soulless and dead, the coleslaw accompanying my burger wasn’t crunchy, the onion rings were crunchy but I think the onion had been picked before being battered and tasted disgusting. The chips were ok. The ketchup in a bowl was congealed. My advice? Don’t stay here. And if, as I found, it’s the only place available to stay, just don’t stay in Frodsham at all.

    Spoilt my birthday weekend away.

Absolutely appalling, I’m disabled and was put on second floor with no lift, over 20 steps to manoeuvre, husband complained and they said we’ve got a disabled room you can stay in. That was what we booked! Got into room and it wasn’t very clean, mirror looked like it had water dripping down it, shower stool was rusty to the point of it would be a health hazard, no fan in room and room was as hot as the sun, asked for a fan and surly receptionist said there were none but if they found one they’d bring it to our room however they never asked what room we were in, needless to say we never got a fan, beds lumpy and uncomfortable and divan bottom looked like a werewolf had attacked it, shower didn’t work all you got was scalding hot water or a freezing mist, opted for the mist as was so hot in room, when we complained about it to surly receptionist she said ‘did u not get a fan as we have them here?’ I had to stop my sarcastic answer of ‘yeah we got one but chose to melt in the Furness for a laugh!’ This was my birthday treat in the hotel as it was my birthday the first full day there, and instead we chose to pack up and leave as couldn’t bare another night of heat sweat exhaustion and noise from that room, massive gap under the door which had a motion sensor light in corridor that was constantly flashing on, chose not to eat any food there as we had a drink when we first arrived and settled in and found rest was dirty, cutlary had marks on it and glasses could have done with being put through the dishwasher again. All in all it wasn’t a nice place, how you can call it three stars is beyond me as I feel it’s not worthy of one star, you need to give the entire hotel a thorough clean and also train your staff on how to professionally deal with customers, very badly done!!

Cancelled at another Leisure Club in favour of Forest Hills

I joined Forest Hills Leisure Club a few months ago. At the time, I was also a member of another local hotel Leisure Club. Until recently, I have kept both memberships but, I have recently cancelled my membership at the other Club in favour of the Forest Hills. The amenities could do with some updating (I'm sure the new owners are working on this) but the classes on offer and the instructors are excellent. Paul (Burnett) should take credit for building such a great team.

Ongoing dispute avoid at all costs don't care about members

Joined the spa gym a few months ago on initial inspection upgraded changing rooms , gym ok basic but seemed ok , steam room out of order sign but told new part was ordered and it was temporary , after joining and using , gym treadmill broken still not fixed or replaced , gym classes so hard to book into you literally have to set an alarm 7am each morning to fight to get. On quickest finger first , then less than hours notice places become available, members clearly hogging booking system then cancelling frequently, some classes when I eventually did book on I have attended half full ??? Needs to have a penalty fee for persistent cancellations ... Pool pungent smell thought it was drains but then to be told old stagnant water had gotten under broken tiles , still not fixed ... I cancelled my membership on breach of contract by the club citing consumer act ... Being bombarded with emails demanding months notice payment ???? No response from manger still ??? Members get fobbed off with they. Can make do with what we have type of attitude ?? Needs huge upgrade or discounted membership with transparency on broken facilities I had really high hopes of becoming a long term member as location is gorgeous for walks and countryside Better management, communication and care for customers needed Very disappointed dispute ongoing ......
