Comfortable, welcoming and convenient
Very comfortable and convenient stay at the Plough Hotel. Right in the centre of Northampton, a few minutes walk to theatres and shops, with free parking so no need to get in the car. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable, good bed and lovely big bathroom. Highly recommended.
Room hot even with radiators turned down, but most hotel rooms seem that way!

Klassiskt hotell

Friendly staff but quality of food poor.
Friendly staff
Breakfast was not worth the money. The continental offering consisted of a few slices of melon and pineapple on an almost empty platter, cheap yogurt full of additives- (natural yogurt does not need thickeners) , diluted cheap tasting orange juice, supermarket sliced bread - nothing like the picture on their menu that suggested cheeses and slices of continental meats. The coffee was not pleasant- from a self service machine - we saw that being refilled- powdered milk and powdered coffee. The tomatoes in the cooked breakfast were tinned chopped tomatoes better suited in a stew.

Excellent value hotel with staff who go above and beyond up please
Room was good size and very comfortable and clean. Staff were outstanding and bar area pleasant.
It is situated on a very busy road. This means you can’t really have windows open at night (but this would not stop us booking again) and the double glazing was effective.

Bed was very comfortable. Location was convenient for exploring Northampton and attending a Northampton saints rugby game.
There was a lot of noise around the property in the evenings, particularly traffic noise.
