Disappointing
I have stayed here before and gave it 5* it is in a great location
Unfortunately the owners are expanding the property, I knew building work was being done and emailed the guest house, they assured me it was completed, this was not true. Building work started at 9 and went on until 5, it was right next to the breakfast area and completely ruined our experience. We moved to another guest house. I understand they are trying to fit in more guests but the noise and disruption was unacceptable and the new rooms have none of the charm and peace of the room I previously stayed in. Ours was dark and faced a concrete corridor. Such a shame as I was completely in love with it after my first visit. The staff were not nearly as friendly and when I showed them the email saying the building work was finished told me I could move hotels, which we did. We did get a partial refund but would not recommend this guest house as a result.
