    Lovely base to explore the Scottish Borders.

    Lovely spacious house right in the centre of town. Modern furnishings, kitchen and shower with original room proportions kept. Very comfortable beds and all mod cons. Good wifi. Lovely town in heart of Scottish Borders with loads to see in Melrose itself and good range of shops including Coop opposite. Good bus service from Galasheils train. This apartment would be our first choice for going back there.

    As older folk we'd have liked clear written on peper instructions for eg the microwave - took us five mins experimenting to find the start button! One of those folders with local knowledge would have been good. Also it maybe said in the description but in case not, the apartment was one floor up and the bathroom another floor - lots of stair climbing! Finally, we didn't realise till returning from our first excursion that the lock wasn't a Yale but needed to be manually locked - maybe a notice on the back of the door?
