I cannot recommend this place enough Pete was very helpful and friendly. Was extremely relaxing and so quiet loved the pool and hot tub. The sheep was a bonus. View was amazing. The bed was very comfy and big. Wonderful stay for our 10 year anniversary will definitely be returning

Welcoming nature of the place made us feel very comfortable. The surrounding areas are beautiful and the cottage was super warm and cosy.
The kettle leaked when pouring but other than it was a perfect stay.

Blackthorn is an oasis of calm
Lovely little cottage with access to an indoor heated pool, although we didn't use this, and an outdoor hot tub, which we did use every day. Log burner was a great addition with wood replenished as we required. The setting was delightful; it was like an oasis of calm. Peter met us on arrival and was very helpful with local knowledge. It was our anniversary and there was a bottle of Prosecco and a card waiting for us which we thought was such a lovely touch. There was also a welcome basket with milk, biscuits and local eggs along with tea, coffee and sugar which was provided. A lovely relaxing break and we would highly recommend this cottage. We'll hopefully be back in the future.
