It was okay, wouldn’t recommend.
The bar and restaurant were cozy.
I wasn’t in the type of room I paid for so my view was of a car park and grumpy owners of houses it overlooked. I was so disappointed as I asked for a garden view and parking space. It’s what I paid for. The room was very hot and heating wouldn’t go down on radiator. The bathroom was freezing. The green exit light disturbed my sleep. Not for me!

Lovely hotel in nice surroundings.
Room was extremely spacious with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful when it came to food allergies in the restaurant. We had a delicious Sunday roast and breakfast during our stay. Would definitely return if staying in the area again.

A wonderful hotel. Good facilities, extremely helpful staff, and excellent quality of food.
We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the quality of food on offer. Gary had no hesitation in transporting us to the Hadrian’s Wall trail each of the two days we stayed there. Would definitely recommend it for those walking the trail.
