  Avoid the restaurant, totally scam.

  From location, sights point of view, amazing, nice hotel employee. However avoid the restaurant, totally scam, don't recommend.

  I’m giving one star because of the Restaurant/Kitchen. Avoid it, it’s really awful. We booked accommodation at this location thinking we would also eat here so we wouldn't have to run around elsewhere. On the first day when we arrived, after a 6-7 hour drive, naturally we wanted to eat something. We were told it would take at least 2 hours because the chef was cooking for an event. That’s how we ended up at a local pizzeria—which is also a guesthouse—where even though they also had an event, they still prepared food for us. The second day, the 'Fish Storceag' soup was literally made with remnants of fried fish, definitely leftover from someone else. You could see the fried fish skin in the plate, and there weren't even proper pieces—when I say remnants, I mean actual leftovers, I doubt there were even 50 grams of fish in the soup. The other person ordered something simple: 'Polenta with egg, sour cream, and cheese'. Something terrible—the polenta wasn't cooked properly, you could tell it was made in a rush and with complete disrespect, not to mention the sour cream was about one tablespoon at most. I didn't understand how it's possible to mess up a polenta—we're not talking about duck confit here—and when you have the Danube right at your doorstep, to mock the fish soup/storceag like that. The french fries clearly looked like they were fried in oil that had been used for other products; they were dark/black, and the portion was very small. Very high prices for what they offer, somewhere around 45 RON for the soup, something like that. I ended up calling the chef over to ask him what this joke was all about. That evening we went to 'I love Septembrie', where I highly recommend you eat—for the same money, you get large portions and quality food. I recommend this location for accommodation at most.
