    Never book with this agent, they're unethical and ask for too much

    The property was fine and the person who assisted with the keys was lovely. The issues we have are entirely related to the booking agent and their processes. We would never advise using them.

    The booking agent's behaviour was atrocious; they borderline blackmailed us into the booking. We had booked the place and within 30 min of the booking we received an email asking for a security deposit, our bank details and ID's and info on all of my family (including my small kids). I refused to send this info in and instead of them then agreeing to cancel the booking (especially considering it'd only been booked an hour or so before), they refused and said they required the info. They then pointed out their no-cancellation policy, and informed me we would lose our money unless I complied. I tried to complain to booking.com but the agent refused to budge and booking.com did nothing. The agent tried to say this was standard in SA, but it's not. For deposits: companies may occassionally take a deposit, but they put a hold on your card, and this is returned days later. In this instance the agent are obviously being cheap as they don't want to pay fees and so we needed to provide our full bank details. The security risk of this is extremely high and I don't trust them having this. For ID's and kids details: they argued that this is standard in SA, but it's clearly not. It's clearly not legal to collect little kids ID's and personal details. It's normal for the booking person, but not for others. Only when I argued loads did they relent, but even then I needed to put false info on their online form, as it expected info for all four people. NEVER use these people.
