not worth unless you want a jungle stay
The cabin is located in a peaceful forest setting, with not much around. It is a convenient and slightly more affordable option for travelers returning from Fairbanks or Denali who prefer to take a break rather than drive all the way to Anchorage. The breakfast is simple and needs to be collected from the common hall. Nothing fancy, but a reasonable place for a short overnight stay.
The check-in process was inconvenient, as staff were not stationed at the office and we had to call them to arrange key collection. The cabin was extremely small, with barely enough space for two suitcases, and the cooking facilities were not very practical. Basic amenities such as a hair dryer were not provided, and we had to request one from the office. With no telephone in the cabin to contact staff, we had to dress warmly and walk to the office whenever we needed assistance. Parking was also some distance from the cabin, requiring us to use a trolley to transport our luggage. The trolley was not easy to handle and could easily tip over. At night, there was absolutely nothing to do, as the cabin was isolated in the dark forest. Overall, it may be acceptable for a simple overnight stop, but the limited space, basic facilities, and inconvenience made our stay less comfortable than expected. Overall, it was not worth driving so deep into the forest for just a one-night stay, especially considering the basic facilities, limited space, and inconvenience.

Just as wonderful as it looks.
It is exactly as depicted. So calm, peaceful, and gorgeous. I felt safe and comfortable in my tiny house. The staff were so helpful, giving me pointers about where to visit on my treks. I felt at home here.
I would’ve liked to know what food was offered (ie, salt and pepper, k-cups, sugar) so that I knew I didn’t have to buy it on my way in.

We had a lovely stay. The drive was easy from Anchorage and it was easy to access the highway for area destinations.
Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. The owner Teal is lovely and committed to making the property welcoming for guests. She set up a laundry service during our stay to add to the services offered. It was great to have on-site laundry option.
Arriving at night was tricky. We had trouble finding our chalet and knocked on the wrong door at 2am. Some better signs would be good. It's disorienting being jn the forest somewhere new at night while counting pathways for turns.
