Perfect historic cottage, well equipped, good location.

It's on the High Street, so very easy to find and we parked right outside. There's a modern well equipped kitchen, and the host, Caroline left milk, butter and delicious home baked bread for our arrival plus tea, coffee and chocolate. There's a dining room and sitting room with a nice big TV and comfy sofa. The bed linen is really good quality and the beds are comfortable. We loved that it was a fifteenth century cottage, with exposed beams and lots of character. You can also sit outside in part of the well kept and interesting garden. The only toilet is through one of the bedrooms, which we didn't pick up when booking, but it didn't matter. Plenty of pubs nearby which serve food, so no need to cook unless you want to. We had a wonderful stay and will book again!

The stairs are quite steep so less agile people should know that before they book.

Highly recommend this property. Beautiful with fabulous surrounding area. Long Melford has a traditional English town fe

Beautiful cottage, eloquently decorated with natural fabrics and furnishings. Comfortable beds, soft cotton bedding and plenty of good quality pillows. Pretty courtyard garden area with views into the main garden where we were lucky enough to sit each morning and have breakfast. Well equipped kitchen, dinning area and comfortable lounge.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, but guests need to remember that you have to walk through the second bedroom to access the bathroom. So this needs to be taken into consideration. We also noticed a few places the cleaner/house keeper had missed whilst cleaning. So maybe a deeper clean every now and again.
