  Overgrown and run down. If any allergy to mould do not book. Parking is terrible, only one spot.

  Location

  The front yard was a mess, overgrown with branches over the path nothing like the photos online. Couldn’t even see out the windows because it was so overgrown. Paint is peeling from ceilings and walls. Lots of mould, sliding doors can’t open, screens off doors. In description it says there is parking but should be advised that it is one car only the other car we parked up on grass and received a fine. Also received a warning for parking in the driveway of the house. The photos have been touched up with AI, the inside doesn’t look close to what is advertised. Usually there would at least be some tea, coffee and milk with a house but nothing. Won’t be booking there again.

  The location was convenient for Bondi Beach, and collecting the keys was straightforward. Unfortunately, these were the only positive aspects of our experience.

  The property was in a completely unacceptable condition for a family stay and looked substantially more worn than the listing photos. Shortly after arrival, we found a large cockroach, multiple smaller cockroaches, spiders and webs, as well as significant dust and a damp, mouldy smell. The backyard and overall condition of the house were also not represented accurately in the listing. There was only one heating unit for the entire four-bedroom house, and it was not sufficient to keep the property warm. Our children were shivering during the night. This was especially concerning because members of our family have allergies to mould and dust mites. We reported the problems immediately. The host offered additional cleaning, pest treatment and alternative accommodation under the same management, but given the condition of the property and our family’s health concerns, we did not feel safe remaining there. We checked out after one night and arranged replacement accommodation ourselves. This property was not reasonably fit for the stay we booked, particularly for a family with young children. The experience caused major stress, disruption and unexpected expense.

  Ok. A good location, an average quality house with poor management.

  The location was good and the beds were comfortable. There was a laundry which was useful.

  The house was tired, there was poor paintwork over strange insulation wallpaper that flaked paint when you brushed past. Most of the windows in the house were broken or sealed shut, so it was hard to get fresh air flowing. The toilet seat was ill fitting and the shower had no built surrounding so water went all over the toilet and bathroom and there was no mop or spare bath mats. The house had very basic cheap furnishings and curtains. Beds were made with sheets that didn’t fit. The huge main lamp in the lounge was broken. The blind in the main bedroom was broken and wouldn’t wind up. There was no coffee plunger or real coffee available as is standard. The property manager clearly wasn’t in Sydney and had very off communication. They were demanding in messages that I pay $1000 deposit which led to great confusion as I had paid in full on booking. They berated me and threatened to cancel my booking if I didn’t pay this extra undisclosed amount that had never been mentioned on the booking information. Considering I had paid the asked amount which was a high cost, and the very average condition the house was in this felt both very inappropriate and actually illegal.
