    Great location but disappointing room.

    Excellent location in the heart of Somerville and just around the corner from restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, etc. Very friendly and inquisitive hosts.

    We were in the 2nd floor room. The room is at the top of the steps, with no landing whatsoever. When walking out of the room, one has to be careful, because the steps start immediately and make a quick turn, just past the door. The railing didn't go all the way to the door of the room. The room itself was small and basic, with limited furnishings. There was a nightstand on only one side. Not much room around the bed. The mattress was squeaky (it would squeak away every time I got out of the bed), and the bed linens were of very basic quality. The bathroom was tiny, with a very small sink and a small shower. There was little room to maneuver in the bathroom.

    Clean, comfortable and quiet. Good location too.

    Bowers House is well situated just a few blocks from the Red Line, making it very easy to get around Boston. There are several restaurants and shops in walking distance as well. The owner was very friendly and greeted us on arrival.

    There was nothing that we didn't like. Our room had it's own designated bathroom, that was across the hall. If you are ok with that set up, which we were, than you won't think twice about it. If you expect ensuite, than you may be disappointed. Given it was parents weekend and the Head of the Charles, the price was very reasonable.

    Comfortable stay with great location and great hosts.

    Steven, the owner, is the best tour guide at the area. He will map out a great day in Boston for you, highlighting places to see, shortcuts, wonderful places to eat, etc. We appreciated it so much.. The room is comfortable and quiet. Beds at great. . Very convenient to the MBTA. Excellent restaurants. We loved our day.

    Fantastic stay

    Great location, nice and spacious room, luxury toiletries, nice breakfast options, coffee available whenever I needed a hot drink. The fridge has filtered water so no need to buy bottled

    There's nothing to dislike about this property.
