    Not very good

It had lovely food when we had an evening meal and breakfast. The staff were lovely and polite

I paid for a family room but was given a double room when we arrived with a single bed . I did ask about it, but they said that I had paid for a family room basic . To me if I had paid for a family room I should get one and not a double . The single bed pillows were disgusting with yellow stains and the lady came and took them away. On arrival my husband and I thought that they were still cleaning the rooms, near the room we were given but they weren’t. There was dirty bed linen and towels left on the hall floor and rubbish in the window sill. The lady took photos of them to make the housekeeping realise that they had left them there. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all . I used the bubble bath and it had been used before and they had topped it up with water. I did tell another lady when we went for breakfast. I don’t really like moaning but it wasn’t what we expected from such a lovely place . I was told by a lady called Chloe that they would email me about it . She was lovely and did give us 15% off our food evening bill and apologised to us both.

Lovely stay if a little noisy

The building and grounds are exceptionally beautiful. The staff are great. Room was very clean. Restaurant lovely. Food lovely. Definitely worth the money.

Noisy. The walls are very thin. You can hear every flush of every toilet every light switch. And seems to be an intermittent hum almost like a hoover. Tv had poor signal. We did encounter noisy guests on the phone in the halls but thats not the hotels fault. There is a very pretty lit up tree out the front however those lights flash all night. And there is music playing outside from incredibly early to very late which seems unnecessary in late October.
