Perfeita

Not what the comments portray
Location - we needed a place close to the train station, and the surrounding areas were great - restaurants and cafes. Even though it was a Sunday night, there was a pop-up DJ playing nearby and the streets were crowded with people dancing and drinking. It was a fun night to be in that area.
It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. My friend and I are well traveled and we searched the comments before booking and had good expectations for this B&B. After staying there, we can’t understand how people rated this place as “exceptional”. After buzzing the apartment, a kind gentleman came down promptly and ushered us into the elevator and showed us into the apartment. Beware that the elevator only goes mid-floor. The apartment is on floor 4, but the elevator stopped at 3-1/2 floors. Bear that in mind if you are bringing large suitcases. Once through the door and into a narrow hallway, we realized this B&B only had three rooms, and one of the rooms is directly through and opens to the kitchen. The website says “coffee and tea are available”, but only in the kitchen, which had a stove top moka pot for coffee. Otherwise, there is an electric water kettle in the room, but no coffee/tea for you to prepare on your own. So it’s already awkward if you want coffee, hopefully you know how to use a moka pot, while staying quite as not to disturb the guests in the room on the other side of the kitchen. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller. We are average sized women at 5 feet 7 inches and couldn’t dress in the bathroom - it’s that small. And the bed was less comfortable than my pull out sofa mattress. To the comments that say “the breakfast was the best”….who is writing this? Breakfast was a choice of greasy pastry, a moka pot that the lady prepared but you had to heat it up yourself (what if you didn’t know how to use it?), juice, milk, salami and cheese slices in the fridge. WE’RE IN ITALY yet the cheese was Sottilette individually wrapped cheese slices - similar to Velveeta cheese. It was disgusting. The Milano salami offered is my favorite, so brava on the salami choice. All in all, my friend and I felt like we had just stayed in a bad youth hostel. I would not recommend this place.
