Nice apartment, nice hosts, did not like the location
Host was very nice, we waited for him just a moment. He showed us the apartment and gave us the keys. He and his daughters were super helpful whenever there was any issue. Apartment was well equiped. The furniture was modern. Beds were super comfortable, even the pillows. I dont sleep comfortable anywhere and I had a really good sleep there.
Basic things like floors and beds, bathroom, were clean, however there is room for improvement. We wanted to make a small dish after arrival but couldnt find one clean utensil. I understand that it was probably after previous visitors, but i think its good to check and since there is the dishwasher, to put them in, during cleaning. Also leaving just few dishwaher tablets would help, as you dont want to buy a whole box for a few days stay, so its actualy used. The kitchen sponge was so old, i didnt want to touch it, not use it. Mirror in the living room could use some cleaning, also the dust on the shelves and chest of drawers. All window frames were dirty around handles. The location is near Ballaro market. Its a very noisy area, with not the best smell, we didnt use the balcony once. Worse is, that it is dirtiest part of the city that I have seen and after 4 -5 pm, when the market closes, there are just huge piles of trash. People around looked really sketchy. We didnt feel completely safe going back to the apartment at night.

Perfect stay in the heart of Palermo.
The location is perfect for exploring the central part of Palermo -- nearly everything was within a 20-minute walk (and most were under 10 minutes). Beautiful apartment with soaring ceilings and every convenience you could ask for. Riccardo is an amazing host!
Not the owner's fault, but Waze/Google Maps will try to send you through the heart of the Ballaro Market to reach the apartment. Being a great host, Riccardo met us and drove us to the apartment, going so far as holding a parking space for us. Also, due to its central location there can be a bit of street noise (mostly loud, 2-stroke scooters) -- closing the thick shutters helped mitigate most of it but we still used a white noise machine. I am a very light sleeper and I still felt that I got a good night's sleep.
