Poor choice of an inn
The location was good. The atmosphere was not friendly for a bed and breakfast. They focus more on ghosts tours they gave at their in. Rooms were ok. Not what it used to be to be. Value was just good. Not taken care of. Noise level you quite. Service very poor. Grab and go breakfast was terrible not fresh. There was no one around to help you. I’ve stayed there before and this company that took it over does not care for their guests.

Simply Terrible
This was the worst overnight accommodation experience we have had (and we travel a LOT). My wife booked the room and probably won't submit a review so I'm doing it in hopes it saves others the trouble and expense. The entire bed & breakfast had a bad odor. When we got to the New York room there were signs explicitly forbidding opening the windows to relieve the bad smell. The floor throughout the room was dirty. There were multiple stains on the shower curtain and the tub was not clean. Overall it was simply unacceptable. Upon seeing the condition we didn't bring anything to the room, locked the door and returned the keys to the attendant informing them that we would not accept the room. The attendant agreed that we should not have to deal with the situation, but could not authorize a refund. Instead we were told to email the information and she would also note our feedback. My wife emailed and after a follow-up email a couple of days later we finally received a response acknowledging our complaints by stating the issues were being addressed, but because of "policy" we would not receive a refund (we care that the issues being addressed, but it's absurd that we had to pay for the "opportunity" to give feedback). Needless to say, if you have cleanliness and/or odor standards I strongly recommend you find other accommodations or arrive on site to first inspect a room here before paying (regardless of conditions you won't be refunded). Incidentally we moved to the Best Western for the night and it was a significant upgrade. Finally after submitting a charge challenge to our credit card company we were refunded.

Solid stay
Our room was roomier than expected and cooler than expected, despite a heatwave outside. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was VERY clean. The inn was decorated in a combination of modern and Victorian-era styles that were usable without being fussy. We did not take advantage of the evening reception or the knowledgeable staff, but we did enjoy the porch swing out front. Our only “complaint” was the morning coffee was lackluster Keurig pods (please add some non-flavored non-decaf) and mushy apples. Definitely no dealbreakers for us. The parking was easy and the walk to the center of town was pleasant. Would definitely stay again, especially because of Laurie’s help with our complicated reservation situation.

Ghostly Experience
Beautiful room. Nice continental breakfast. Great location! Nice, courteous, helpful staff. Resident ghosts were very friendly.
