    Cobwebs and dust EVERYWHERE

    I liked the location and view. The space in the house itself.

    We came to this location for the second year in a row and now we will not be returning next year. Upon entering the home, it was obvious no one had been in or cleaned in months. Every single corner had cobwebs and dead bugs. The mantle was full of dust along multiple other surfaces. We ended up cleaning ourselves just to feel comfortable sleeping there. The fans were so dusty they weren't blowing out properly so we also took one of those apart and cleaned it. The bathtub had dead bugs and hair in it. The porch light was out, one of the fishing poles didn't have a line in it at all and the other didn't have a bobber. The sink in the upstairs restroom was completely clogged and wouldn't drain. We also fixed that ourselves. Last year we had a total of two kayaks and this year there was only one. The part where you insert detergent in the washing machine in the basement is broken. And the bathroom in the basements shower curtain was literally slimey from not being cleaned. When we addressed some of these issues with the management company they apologized and did nothing to fix it. We originally gave them permission to enter the property to fix the clogged sink and they never came, hence why we ended up doing it ourselves. The property is advertised with a gumball machine with gumballs IN IT, and that was also empty for the second year in a row. We stayed here for a week and spend over $4000. I shouldn't have to clean a property to feel comfortable sleeping in it, and if I do, compensation should be offered. It is extremely disappointing that our family tried to create a tradition and now will have to choose another property with a completely different company due to the lack of customer service after addressing many of our VALID concerns. Again, the property was NOT clean. Its one thing to have some dust somewhere but it was extremely evident no one has been in that home for months due to the dead bugs and cobwebs alone.

    Was a perfect second home, says my wife: everything was there and incredible feel good spot.
