A Very Pleasant Solo Trip
As a solo traveller, this room was excellent. The bed was a great size (queen, I believe?) and comfortable, the en suite bathroom was a very nice luxury, and the wifi connection was smooth as butter. The host was very quick to respond to my questions, and patient as well. They want you to have a good experience just as much as you do. The location was even better than I realized. You're right on the best section of Queen St. West. Fabric stores, restaurants, night life, thrift shops, small markets & convenience stores...they're all within walking distance of this room. The streetcar also stops right at Augusta, and it goes all the way up Queen St (also stops at the subway). *Photos attached were taken as I was leaving. The bed WAS made when I showed up.
The washer/dryer combo machine was a bit of a pain. The default setting takes 3 hours(??), and I imagine it can be quite loud for your basement roommates. But I'm sure I could've figured it out if I had more time to use it. There's also no iron or steamer available, which was a shame. This final part is NOT a complaint, but more of a warning for anyone else who may not know: the shower is so close to the fire alarm, that if you have the shower running with the bathroom door open, the steam can set off the alarm. I didn't know that was possible, and neither did the host or my roommate at the time.

Está bien situado para ir andando por la ciudad. La cama es cómoda y tiene baño privado. Tiene una cocina común. Pudimos aparcar en el jardín de atrás. La persona gestora nos envió un mensaje con la forma de llegar y cómo aparcar, y nos dijo que la avisáramos si la habitación estaba sucia o algún otro huésped hacía ruido.
La habitación estaba sucia (aunque no dijimos nada) con polvo acumulado. El baño tiene una puerta hacia la zona común de la cocina, desde donde se enciende/apaga la luz, por lo que hay que salir de la habitación cada vez que quieres encenderla/apagarla. La segunda noche tuvimos que salir a llamar la atención a otro huésped, que estaba cocinando y poniendo la lavadora a las dos de la madrugada. La cancela del jardín trasero para dejar el coche apenas se sujeta y, al sacar el coche, un tornillo se clavó en la rueda y empezó a desinflarse. Pedimos a la persona gestora usar su teléfono y nos dio información genérica a través de mensaje, así que tuvimos que preguntar a un cartero por un taller cercano para arreglarla.
