Pleasant stay, could have been better
Grounds are spectacular. Lovely walks. Bonus that the place was dog friendly. Staff very attentive, helpful and cheerful. The food was good. I must praise the staff for the way they dealt with several big issues which included, storms, power cuts, high winds and fallen trees
Felt the menu was a little limited for a 4 star hotel. Breakfast choices ran out quickly especially the fruit salad, grapefruit and prunes and not topped up and this was at 8,45am. Shower in the room was very disappointing. To get a warm shower it ran at a dribble and you had to be standing against the wall. If you increased the water pressure the water ran cold.

We stayed in a basic room and it exceeded expectations. There was plenty of space, it was newly decorated and the beds were very comfy. The hotel had a lovely homely vibe and the grounds were stunning. Can't wait to. Return!
As others mentioned, the corridors were of another time and in need of an upgrade. But that was easy enough to ignore as the rooms themselves were lovely. .
