  You will not be disappointed. Amazing tranquil break

  The lodge is located in a lovely environment, very chill and quiet. Short work to where the country club located. The lodge is well equipped. Even with a few cleaning products and condiments. The bath with shower was excellent, shower powerful. You lift the base of hose to put shower on . The ensuite bathroom was luxury again exceptionally clean. Loo roll and toiletries provided. (We brought our own). Towels supplied. Master bedroom was very nice, even touch bedside lights have 2 us ports. TV in both bedrooms, the lounge TV wasn't working called the owner and he came with a brand new TV and bottle wine. Resolved beautifully. We brought our 2 chihuahuas, who loved the decking and had no problems with the spindle width , yes they fit perfect between but made absolutely no attempt to escape, the lodge grounds there is alot of people with pets, again caused Absolutely no problem with my girls. We were provided with bread and milk, nice touch, we had a barbecue too, on first evening we ventured into town which is about 6 miles by car. Following day we had a walk around site and went to bar of golf club with dogs, sat outside, as dogs aren't allowed in country club which is not a problem. The whole area is perfect for a totally relaxing time. We cannot fault anything. Bed comfy and clean. Watching TV in lounge on comfy seating glass of wine, electric fire going with TV gives a fantastic relaxing ambience. We will definitely be coming back.

  Didn't like reception of country club, had to prove all the details of who we booked with, where we staying, how long for, basically 3rd degree, before we were given code for gate, and told to destroy afterwards. Hubby went in to ask about where we can and cant go with dogs, Im outside with dogs, he was again told not allowed in there you have to walk round. Which understandable, but less attitude would go long way. I cant understand why a code cannot be provided to owner of lodge to give to whoever rents, its a very unnecessary scenario that need not to be, but thats the onus onto the country club, not the rental of lodge owner.

  Great location in the Fens, restful site and nice lodge.

  Brilliant location, veranda in full sun, lovely site. Furniture was comfortable, place is clean.

  SHOCKING

  The location was quiet

  None of these things worked. The TV only connected to the BBCi player and Netflix so we only had 2 channels to watch BBC 1 and 2. The aerial and wifi were just hanging down the back of the Lodge. The hob only had 3 rings that worked NO IGNITOR had to buy matches. The dishwasher didn't work properly it didnt take the tablet.The boiler kept turning itself off and I was left with no hot water when showering, no hot water to wash up with. When you used the shower it sounded like a tank banging.There were 2 fans which were completely useless. It says pets welcome MY LABRADOR MANAGED TO GET OUT OF THE DECKING BECAUSE THE SPINDLES WERE TOO WIDE APART AND THEY ALSO MOVED SIDEWAYS. THE GATE TO THE DECKING AREA HAD NOWHERE TO LOCK IT SO WAS OPEN ALL THE TIME. WE HAD TO USE ALL THE DECKING FURNITURE AS A BARRICADE. The description photos show a canvas canopy over the deck this is misleading (it must be an old photo). It was a rush mat. No protection from the sun at all. It is my considered opinion that the TV should be thrown away and replaced with a new one. The 2 fans need to be replaced. The hob needs to be inspected so does the boiler. Also the decking area needs to have something put around it to keep animals in. I did try ringing the 2 numbers provided but couldn't get through. The maintenance of the Lodge is shocking. It ruined my weeks holiday!!!!!
