Really nice experience
Staff super nice, always with a smile! Beautiful house. The private onsen is also good. Full Japanese experience, the dinner was delicious!
Because the room didn’t have curtains, we had light at 4.30am.

Amazing and magical ryokan in the snow.
Our stay was simply amazing. The attention to detail from the staff was next level from the warm reception to our departure and they went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for us. We were provided breakfast and dinner - there was so much food, a true ryokan experience. It was truly magical and we are so glad we picked Koase as part of our trip to Japan.
The location is a bit out of the way with frequent train cancellations during heavy snow so we were unsure if we would be able to get to our accommodation but it all worked out and they provide a free shuttle bus to pick us up and drop us off to the nearest station.
