  felt dated, paint chips and scuffs, attempted to communicate with owner re tv remote not working and hot tub issues, left ignored. overall property needs some tlc

  Disappointied on what appeared to be an amazing property. 😪

  On arrival I was thrilled to see such a fabulous property. It is huge with plenty of room for 10 and some beautiful features including original servants bells in the rooms. It appeared to be a home from home.

  When I left I wrote a list of things that needed sorting out mainly the hot tub but things like tvs that didn't have the correct adaptors or control, showers that have literally no pressure and don't drain very well, bedside tables with lights that don't work amongst other bits and bobs. I didn't want to complain, I just thought it needed sorting before the next person arrived. I left it on the table and spoke to the cleaner who said she had sent a message to the owner. I had seen on the reviews there were a few issues and they were still there such as toilet not working and outside areas needing attention. I did contact the owner about the hot tub not working across multiple different contact options whilst there with no reply, 9 days later still no response and I have not had my deposit returned to me. This was the reason we booked the property as the hot tub looked fabulous. It has been raised with Booking.com and I am awaiting a resolution. Re: the last review.. Apologies to the person who went in after us if they were our bottles, I am not sure where they were as all our rubbish went in the green bins at the front 😪

  Disappointing, no hot tub and poor communication or offer of resolution from hosts.

  The hot tub was damaged and unavailable for our entire stay. The hosts knew about this as the previous occupants had also reported the hot tub as not working however they didn’t inform us prior to arrival and only acknowledged it when we contacted them, by which point they refused to try and rectify during our stay, citing a ‘bank holiday’ that wasn’t relevant as it was not observed in Scotland. Ruined our entire weekend plans and had zero customer service ability to assist. The house is also full of cobwebs, and half of the kitchen appliances don’t work. The drinks bottles from the previous guests were left out on top of the bins and there was dog poo on the grass.

  Good sized property. Booking.com have been fantastic with dealing with the issues we reported.
