    Fine apartment near trainstation

    The location was excellent. We were here for the Fringe, and it took only three minutes to walk from the front door to the train station. From there, it was about a 40-minute train ride to Waverley Station. A small supermarket is within a 10-minute walk. The two large reclining sofas were very comfortable, and we appreciated having a smart TV. The host was friendly and helpful.

    The apartment felt rather impersonal, and several practical touches were missing. For example, there was no ambient lighting, only very bright ceiling lights. There were no towel hooks in either the kitchen or the bathroom, the selection of crockery was somewhat unusual, and there was no coat rack. There was no wardrobe in the large bedrooms, only a clothes rack. There were small paintings hanging everywhere, but they seemed completely random. We were out all day, so it wasn't a major issue for us. The extractor hood was really dirty. The rest of the apartment, however, seemed clean.

    The flat was quiet. Hot water and heating worked well. Equipment good.

    It would have been helpful to know there were three flights of stairs. Parking a problem in that we had to move the car during the day. We felt the flat hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Ki k KO
