Great base to explore the Orkneys
We were in the upstairs apartment Tangles. Comfortable modern style with absolutely beautiful outlook. Owners sent us good information about local facilities and we knew to shop at st Margaret’s hope. Well placed for a simply marvellous stay in the Orkneys.
Be aware quite steep set of steps to get up to apartment, could be problematic for some.

Wir freuen uns sehr, eine Unterkunft mit drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Badezimmern gefunden zu haben und haben uns dort wo
Wir hatten das Obergeschoss, die Wohnung Tangles. Wir wussten vorher nicht welche Fotos zu welcher Wohnung gehören. Wir haben ein riesengroßes Wohnzimmer gehabt mit offener Küche und drei Schlafzimmern, die für uns vier Personen perfekt aufgeteilt war. Wir hatten zwei Badezimmer/WCs, von denen eins auch mit einer Dusche ausgestattet war. Hat uns aber völlig gereicht. Die Lage ist vom Hafen kommend total super gewesen und auch zum erkunden der restlichen Insel sehr schön gelegen. Wir fanden das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sehr gut. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut, dass die Heizung so gut funktioniert hat 👍🏼 und wer es uns gemütlich machen konnten. Der Schlüsseltresor ist eine Supersache, die uns den Zugang abends um 19:00 Uhr einfach gemacht hat. Ach ja und ein fantastischer Ausblick durch das Dachfenster auf den Sternenhimmel, einfach grandios.
Wir fanden das etwas lustig, dass in der Küche von manchem Geschirr und Besteck nur vier Teile da waren oder auch mal fünf und wir immer direkt abwaschen mussten, weil es keinen Geschirrspüler gibt. Teelöffel gab es nur zwei, die haben wir immer weitergereicht. Alles nicht schlimm aber ein Grund, warum man keine Zehn geben kann 😊. Außerdem gibt es eine neue Sitzgruppe (anders als auf dem Foto), die wir etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig fanden und wenn man einen Spieleabend am Tisch machen wollte, nicht so sehr bequem ist. Aber tolles Design.

Great little apartment
Lovely little apartment with separate bedroom, shower etc. It had everything you needed in the kitchen. Beds super comfy. Great location within walking distance of Sands Hotel. Nice and clean. Host was great too.
As it was a wet room, the water would go all over the bathroom so around the toilet etc. Just a niggle and didn't affect our stay.
