It was a great, easy place to stay. We had a party at Black River and it was great to be able to stay close. Rooms were clean and practical, even with a 3yr old!
The door hinge was broken and we had to slam the door to shut it. And the shower dripped a lot

Place was clean. Food at the pub is really good. Staff was lovely apart from horrendously rude manager.
It's really a motel next to a pub and feels a bit tacky. Terrible reception. As we arrived after a day of driving staff asked us to wait as the person in charge was on the phone. We waited 35mn. Then this person finally barged in and barked who's after a room? When I made myself known I said "me, hi". Her first words were "name?" "Do you have an ID" "credit card"...no hello, sorry, thanks, not a smile. The RUDEST person. Rest of the staff was lovely and polite. She might have had a bad day but nothing can excuse being THAT rude! It was almost comical. Also there is no WiFi and TV only plays Smart TV stuff so you can't watch anything without internet.

Our room smelt so bad i vomitted in my mouth. It was unbearable. Smelt like someone had actually died in there. A staff member found us a different room thank goodness. Makes me wonder why the cleaners left it like that!!! I was happy that another room was found though.
The meals at dinner were not as good as usual. I had the risotto, it was a gluggy mess and mostly just cream and tomatoes, i couldnt eat it. My daughters burger patty was raw in the middle, she also didnt eat it. After having already complaining about the room i didnt want to complain further so left it uneaten.
