  Inadequate hygiene, poor maintenance,and defects; the value for money of the appartment is very poor

  Although we had a pleasant stay in Venice, unfortunately the Ca Sylvia apartment fell far short of our expectations. We understand that Venice is a relatively expensive destination. However, this does not change our expectation that a rented apartment should be properly maintained, clean, and in good condition. As guests, when renting an apartment, we expect a certain standard of comfort, hygiene, and respect. We did not experience this at all during our stay. In particular, the combination of inadequate hygiene, poor maintenance, and various defects made us feel that we were not sufficiently respected or cared for as guest. Therefor we consider the value for money of the apartment to be very poor. To be fair, we initially contacted the owner; we had a long list with defects. The most of them you can find in the previous reviews (we attached some new foto’s) We were quite surprised by the response, especially since the owner personally assured us in a private message that they would take responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of the apartment from now on. Because, based on the many reviews from the past year, we were under the impression that the maintenance, cleaning, and furnishing of the apartment had been thoroughly addressed. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be the case, and the apartment is still poorly maintained and dirty.

  Loving attention requested. This property is beautifully centrally located on the Lido of Venice, nestled among the old, typical Lido villas. However, for years, nothing has been invested in maintenance or upgrading the level of comfort one would expect when paying the hefty rent. The prices at the better hotels on the Lido are comparable. Poor air conditioning that leaks and has consequently ruined the floor, shower and water heaters that fluctuate temperature every second due to a lack of maintenance, and a worn-out kitchen with messy utensils—why not some loving attention? Everything is meager and worn, in stark contrast to the rent being paid. What a waste of such a beautifully situated apartment: Dear Owners! Do not let it fall into such disrepair instead of going for the short term money cashing as it looks the last few years according to other reviews. complaints to the local property manager Giusy & Fabrizio and booking.com are not taken seriously at all.

  Katasztrófa

  Csak az elhelyezkedése volt jó a szállásnak, a kilátás.

  Katasztrófa az egész! 6 db klímából 2 működött, de azok is szemmel láthatóan penészesek voltak. Koszos érzet volt mindennel kapcsolatban. Az ágymatrac teljesen kifeküdve. Mosdó csaptelepből a víz alig folyt a vízkő miatt, szinte használhatatlan. A fürdőben is több helyen kosz, penész, illetve a törölköző szárító is gusztustalan volt. A zuhanycső is szét volt esve. A konyhai csaptelep kirohadt a fa munkalapból. Plafon és a parketta ázott. A szekrényben a koszos törölközők és tisztítószerek tömkelege volt. A szállásadó az elején még készséges volt a panaszainkkal, de hárított a bookingra, ők pedig vissza. Ha pihenni és nyaralni megyünk, nem ilyen mocskos helyen képzeli el az ember, a fotók alapján meg pláne nem a valóság mutatkozott meg.

  Convenient location and nice views, but the condition of the apartment did not match the expectation

  The location is good, with several restaurants nearby. Public transport is easy to reach, and the beach is within walking distance. The balcony is quite narrow, but it offers great views.

  On the downside, there were some aspects that could be improved, which made the overall experience average rather than excellent. While the property is convenient for exploring the area, it did not fully meet our expectations.

  Die Wohnung könnte sehr angenehm sein (schöne Lage, hell, ruhig) – aber erst nach einer Überarbeitung. Der Zustand aktuell (Nov. 2025) ist: Fußboden im Wohnraum stark abgewetzt, Decke mit Wasserflecken, die Sitzmöbel von den booking.com Fotos weitgehend nicht vorhanden, nur ein kleines Sofa (für 4 Pers.?), Wasserhahn in Bad offenbar verkalkt (nur ein dünnes Rinnsal Wasser), Heizung lautstark, bei den zwei Doppelbetten nur eine einzige dünne zusätzliche Decke vorhanden (trotz Bitten wurde keine weitere Decke zur Verfügung gestellt) … Bea und Christopher
