  great location, friendly host, thank you

  The location is great: around the corner from Via Dante and Cairoli metro station, with plenty of trams as well. The castle and cathedral are at either end of Via Dante. It is an easy walk to the canal area. The apartment has several design features, 2 double bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen.

  Fabulous apartment in an excellent location. About 10 minutes walk to each of the things i wantes to do but quiet. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable which was especially good as my husband didn't feel well one day. We could easily walk back to him and cook some food. The bath was great for him as his back gets sore (the beds were great). Entry is by lockbox which always works well for me - but it wasn't clear that was the case till just before we arrived so i was a bit panicy (we were meeting my pregnant daughter at the apartment and I was trying to let her know what to do)

  It does say in the "fine print" that there is a 500 euro security deposit but it i hadn't noticed it. It had to be done using PalPal which i use only occasionally. Despite assurances that it wouldn't cost me anything it did cost me 40 euros total (selecting friends and family as told). And then the nervousness of waiting for the money to be returned. Adding it to the cost of the apartment it was still a good value for me so I am happy and Islay was very good about refunding it so I suggest you just include the cost (which you may not get) and know that it will be returned, because it is a lovely apartment.

  Great location, but guests booking for 2 may not get the full space shown in photos

  First of all, the location is excellent — right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to many key tourist attractions. That was the main reason I chose to book this place.

  However, when we arrived, we found that although the apartment has two bedrooms as shown in the listing, only one bedroom was left open. The other was locked. There were four of us, and we wanted to use both rooms, just as shown in the photos. I was very confused at first — I didn’t know properties could do this. When I checked my reservation, I realized I had mistakenly selected only 2 guests. Eventually, I had to pay an extra fee directly to the host so they would unlock the second bedroom and allow us to use the space as advertised. Still, even if there were only two guests, I don’t think it’s fair to lock one bedroom and limit access without informing the guest in advance. It felt like we were being forced to share one room, even if we preferred to sleep separately. Aside from that, the room was clean overall, but there were a few issues. Some doors were damaged, both bathrooms couldn’t be locked, and the toilet seat in the main bathroom was already detached when we arrived. The host responded quickly via chat, but they wouldn’t accept phone calls, which made things slightly more difficult in urgent moments. Overall, the stay was manageable thanks to the location and cleanliness, but the condition of the room and lack of transparency about room access made the experience fall short of expectations. With a few improvements, this could be a much better stay.

  Posizione perfetta e soggiorno confortevole

  L'appartamento si trova a ridosso del Duomo, in una posizione davvero comoda per visitare la città. Gli spazi sono molto ampi e confortevoli, anche i letti e i bagni sono ben curati e comodi. È dotato di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno tranquillo e rilassante. Nonostante la centralità, è silenzioso e si riposa bene. Molto utile anche la possibilità di avere un box auto a disposizione. Consigliatissimo!

  La caparra di 500€ da pagare tramite PayPal mi sembra un po' troppo
