Bellissimo in pieno centro!
La posizione super centrale per visitare il centro di Atene a piedi. L'appartamento è molto grande.
Essendo al piano strada, si sentono i rumori delle persone che passano e le campane della chiesa.

Beautiful historic home, but the electrical system and AC were a major problem
The property itself is beautiful: historic, full of character, and with impressively large rooms. It really does feel like staying in an old Athenian home rather than a generic apartment. The location in Plaka is also excellent, and we genuinely appreciated being allowed to check in early after travelling.
The biggest issue was the AC/electrical setup. There are two wall-mounted AC units, but both could not be used at the same time without tripping the breaker, which also affected the refrigerator, router and other outlets. The suggested remedy was to use the AC more conservatively and keep it around 26–27°C. In 35–36°C Athens heat, that was not enough for us. The bedroom remained too warm to sleep comfortably, so we moved the mattress into the living room. A smaller heads-up: the bedroom window is effectively at head height on a well-used pedestrian street, so passing conversations can feel very close. We expected some Plaka street noise, but light sleepers should be aware. The kitchen could also be better equipped. The provided “fruit” was a few very tired-looking oranges, which we left to continue their journey. The only usable knife actually bent while cutting an apple, so thankfully we were not planning to cook dinner. Most disappointing was the response afterward. We appreciated the suggestions for managing the AC, but when we could not comfortably use the bedroom we had paid for, we felt some compensation was reasonable. The owner declined. A beautiful and spacious property, but the AC/electrical limitations are important to know before booking in summer.
