Living like a local
Once inside the apartment it is really charming. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and the location was brilliant, looking out onto a canal and close to the train station and centre of things. I could almost pretend to be living like a local. Roos very kindly arranged for me to check in a little early which was much appreciated.
The three flights of stairs were very steep and the communal part of the building shabby. Once inside the apartment it was completely different though. The shower flooded on my last day. The microwave was very complicated and it took until the second day before I could work it out. I downloaded a manual from the internet. It turned out it was stuck on ‘showroom demo’ mode and once I worked out how to switch that off it worked fine. A provided manual would have been good.

I loved sitting with a tea and looking out over the canal. It was super close to so many things, restaurants, the train station, museums, shops. The unit is cozy but very comfortable. Even though it was close to everything it was quite quiet at night.
The only thing that we found a bit challenging was getting our 40lb suitcases up and down the steep, narrow stairs.

Location and view
Soap dispensers were empty. Stairway to apartment smelled funny (not ownwers fault). Owner deactivated our ability to control the AC until we texted them about why we lost it.
