Very disappointing. However did enjoy the wedding on the Sunday.
Staff were great, especially NuNu in the restaurant, smashing wedding venue, with lovely grounds. Overall a lovely setting.
We arrived at approximately 18:30. Our room was not ready, not a major problem; we were given a free drink at the bar while we waited. The room was not available until 19:50. While we waited for the room we watched the staff cooking pizzas on the oven and thought we would have one for our evening meal after we had freshened up from our journey (200miles).When we got to the room, which was in the main house, the towels were dirty and the room was filthy, with mould all around the bathroom tiles. We managed to get down to the restaurant at approx 20:25 ready to order pizzas for our meal, they had stopped cooking them, however NUNu managed to persuade the chef to cook us a pizza each, and we enjoyed that very much we were also given two more free drinks. Breakfast good continental selection, cooked "Greasy Joes". Would we stay there again no!! Grossly over priced at £189 per night. Premier Inn is much better.

Absolutely outstanding! A proper gem of a hotel
everything was outstanding! What a beautiful hotel. The building is gorgeous, rooms are immaculately clean, spacious and have everything you need and more. We had 2 rooms, one had a beautiful balcony and the other was facing onto the garden with patio furniture which was a lovely surprise. The staff were all fabulous!! So lovely, happy and very professional. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both far exceeded our expectations. This is one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning.
I would say the service charge was a surprise, not that we minded but as we had booked through Booking.com we assumed this was included but we were happy to pay it
