  Nothing to like.

  The acrual physical state of the property (run down) is not reflected in the actual pictures. The property is not as it appears and was not ready for our arrival. Dirty bedding scattered everywhere. Mold in the showers, curled up rugs in main area (safety trip hazard), dead flies in one room, heavily stained fabric on dining chairs, torn door screen on sliding door. We immediately notified the property contact to inform them. Since the property was not ready for our arrival we had to find other accommodations. The company offered a late checkout which was of no help. They (Envitae-vacation home rental) informed us approximately an hour and a half later that the property was ready. There is no way the property in that time based on our documented evidence of the conditions. By that time we had already secured other accommodations since we were on Arlington to bury my father and we needed accommodations that would allow us to be ready for the occasion. Envitae refunded us 1 out if the 3 nights. Booking.com didn't follow up with me or help in obtaining a full refund since the property was falsely advertised on their site.

  Poor Check In Experience

  - prime location, super close to the city - easy for ubers to get to us - very walkable - extremely clean - well priced - smooth check out process

  - we had a terrible experience with check in. the code given to us was not the correct code to unlock the door. we waited over an hour to hear back from the company after multiple attempts to get in touch with them with no luck. the phone line does not receive inbound calls, so we had to wait for them to text us back. after not hearing back after several messages and an extended period of time, I contacted booking.com. They tried reaching out and did not hear back. Because of this, for protection, booking.com had to cancel our reservation and refund us our money. I had to then try to get in contach with Envitae (and took over 12 hours to hear back) to them book and pay directly through them. REALLY bad check in experience that left us unsure of the company - the AC did not work in the rooms. the living room was cool while the bedrooms remained super hot - our rooms did not come with washcloths

  The unit overall was nice. We had a great time. The neighborhood was clean and safe. The communication for the rental company was excellent. Staff at the building are super helpful and nice. The building is clean but the unit needs a bit of touch up. (See cons below) The kitchen is basically stocked for 4 people. It works, but you cannot prepare real meals for more than that. I would recommend the location for touring DC. Ten minute walk to the train station to get into DC with a short train ride to all attractions. Several restaurants nearby the unit and a Whole foods basically across the street. Pros: The location and neighborhood. Communication and staff. The unit was clean.

  Cons: All the windows and doors are hard to open. The patio door was a serious struggle. I was worried the handle would break off. A couple of the windows do not have screens. If it's bug season, you couldn't open them. One bathroom vanity has 2 pieces of the front missing and you can see under the cabinet. That should be fixed. The lamp in the living room has no shade and no bulb in it like somebody dropped it. I'm not real sure why they keep it there. There is a chair pictured in the living room that is not there, so there is only seating on the very uncomfortable couch, for 3.
