  Comfy bed in the main bedroom andtwin room although small was appreciated from my daughter. The Island in the kitchen made a whole lot of difference to prepping meals as was the 5 hob gas cooker with grill and oven. Spacious lodge even with a family of 4 ( 2 adults, a 19 year old son and 13 year old daughter), view from decking area with the sun out was relaxing any time of day as it was a sun trap from first light to late evening. Kids and wife loved the swans and ducks/ducklings around the pond. My son said the pull out sofa bed was decent enough for a back sleeper but missed his own mattress. 2 bathrooms certainly helped for showering and morning routines. Nice homely feel to the lodge with dining area and living area even though the sofa is a bit on the small side for 2 adults.   Hot tub looks like it needs either a full clean, although this may be down to bleaching from the chlorine tablets or ploutdated, or a replacement. Lodge carpets could be doing with a deep hoover/clean as i was still picking up pet hair on day 3 with lodge hoover (I suffer from hayfever/pet and dust allergies) but must admit I never sneezed once or suffered from allergy symptoms, only through the hoover pick ups. Some of the kitchen utensils and dishes needed cleaned before use, (could've been due to inadequate cleaning form dishwasher) but should've been checked by on site cleaners before hire.

  Beautiful situated lodge with privacy & security restaurant was lovely excellent food

  Comfort & cleanliness the hot tub layout of the lodge car park space privacy secured peaceful area loved overlooking the lake with the ducks and we saw the swan .

  Overal, it was good, they gave us a brand new place. It took a long time to get to the place as they double booking= we

  Middle of nowhere, 20’ away from York centre

  Double booking, we had to wait for quite a while to have our place.

  We didn’t have electricity most of the days there as they was a power cut so it killed the moment of the break
