Close to everything but lacks character
The location was super convenient and the staff was super helpfull! While visiting I did all the popular touristy things such as walking tours of the historic center, a food walking tour, Getsmani (cool artsy area with lots to do), sunset harbor cruise, and a day trip to the Rosario islands and all of my meeting points were within a 6-15 minute walk. The historic center is within a 6 minute walk, the dock for the boat tours about 15 minutes, and Getsmani about a 12 minute walk. As a solo female traveler, the area felt a little unsettling late at night mainly because the hotel is down a street that is way less busy at night. However, they keep the door locked and someone is always right there to let you in. The super cold AC was also great because the heat and humidity is pretty intense if you are not used to it. It is also really close to some great street food and a market to buy water, drinks, ect.
The phots of the rooftop are misleading. The jacuzzi area was super small and did not look very inviting. The view from the rooftop was pretty good but there were never any other travelers up there. I don't agree with a 4 star rating or it being called a boutique hotel based on the rooms. The outside courtyard area is really nice but the rooms could use some freshening up. There were plenty other boutique hotels in the historic center that looked a lot nicer.

Una experiencia para no repetir.
El personal fue muy amable y atento. Cuando comunicamos el problema con la puerta de la habitación, se ofrecieron inmediatamente a cambiarnos de habitación. Agradecemos mucho su disposición y profesionalidad. Otro punto positivo es que el desayuno se sirve directamente en la habitación sin ningún coste adicional, lo cual resulta muy cómodo. Sin embargo, estos aspectos positivos no fueron suficientes para compensar el resto de la experiencia.
El hotel es viejo y está bastante deteriorado. Se nota que han intentado renovarlo, pero el resultado deja mucho que desear. Las habitaciones están en mal estado, no hay ascensor y la limpieza es claramente insuficiente. El agua de la ducha salía fría, el cabezal estaba lleno de cal y las toallas estaban manchadas y tenían un olor muy desagradable, como a humedad y a ropa mal lavada. Además, la puerta de nuestra habitación estaba completamente deteriorada y el hotel era extremadamente ruidoso, lo que dificultaba mucho el descanso. En definitiva, demasiadas deficiencias básicas de higiene, mantenimiento y comodidad. Por muy amable que sea el personal, no es suficiente para compensar una experiencia tan decepcionante.
