Prior to arrival, communication with landlady was excellent which was very reassuring. She met us at the apartment at the agreed time to hand key and very amicable. The apartment under one of Bologna famous porticos, is very spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It even has an extra toilet and basin in the room where washing machine is, which was unexpected and welcome. The kitchen was very generously provided with lovely selection of teas, coffee -instant, ground for cafetiere, and capsules for coffee machine- bottle water, small snacks. It is very quiet and great place to rest from long outings, and incredibly central, Piazza Magiore is just over 5 minutes away.
The apartment is a bit dark, lacking daylight, though it's to be expected since it's a ground floor. There were repair on the road outside, but obviously it's temporary and that was not a major inconvenience since we stayed over the weekend. There were too many bits and pieces of sun cream, insect repellent, shampoo, shaving foam, q tips, a razor... things obviously left by previous guests and that even if could come handy I wouldn't be too happy to use and they create sensation of clutter. I would prefer to have clear surfaces to comfortably accommodate my own stuff. But I am being picky as the place is truly excellent.
