    A beautiful spacious apartment, well positioned and great value.

    Location. Space - the apartment was large, and there was a beautiful balcony to watch the boats sail on the canal.

    Stairs. I should have maybe read this in advance but was difficult to lug suitcases up the stairs with no lift. Breakfast was catered. But largely continental: yoghurt, milk, fruit juice, water and pre-packaged confectionary. Its a situation where the apartment is stocked with these items, slightly different from a conventional inclusive breakfast. No washing facilities that I could find.

    We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, rustic and exactly as pictured. It’s above a restaurant but this didn’t cause any disruption at all, it was a bonus as they served great seafood. The host was very friendly, responsive and helpful, with lots of recommendations. We loved the location, with the vaporetto just a short walk away, and it was lovely sitting on the small balcony watching the world go by.
