El terrado de la casa con sus asientos y mesa para poder disfrutar de las vistas de la sierra. Espectacular. La ubicación del lugar también es perfecta para hacer rutas o pasear por los pueblos de alrededor.

We would love to come again
The house is just wonderful. It’s so cosy inside and there is a roof top terrace from where you can see the stars at night. The village is very small and there are no cars on the narrow streets (you can park at the beginning of the village), so it’s really peaceful. We felt like being back in time. There are many hiking trails around. Barbara, the owner, was really welcoming and helpful.

Excellent!
The 500-year-old property is well-maintained and very clean. Yes, I hit my head on the low doorways a few times, but quickly adapted. The terrace on the flat roof is very private and catches the sun all day, and is accessed via a ladder from the kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped, with fridge, washing machine, toaster, microwave. Cooking is by gas. Finding the property wasn't easy, as the door is marked "Lynch", not "Casa Barbara". The attached photos show the steps down from the parking area and the entrance area. Parking is not adjacent to the property. Spaces in the public areas were quickly snapped up, particularly at the weekends. There are plenty of hiking options from the door but every path is steep and challenging, so it's not a great area for "strolling". I attempted to do some running but found even the roads too grueling. Mountain biking is good, higher up the mountains, particularly if you use the van+trailer services to gain the height.
Ferreiola has fewer facilities than the other six villages of La Taha. Mecina is walkable (about 1km) for a cafe/restaurant but opening days are limited. Supermarkets in Pitres, Portugos or Busquistar are a stiff 200m vertical climb and a 30-60 min walk or a lengthy car journey.

Almost more than we hoped for and all that we imagined.
Wonderful house that felt like a home. Exceptional offering in the Alpajurras!
I realize this sounds 'corny', but we liked everything. Right down to the three styles of coffee vaccinated to the great library.
