A wonderful holiday in a fabulous apartment.
Ortigia is a wonderful place, and the flat was the nicest holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Emanuela greeted us, and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, providing invaluable information on anything and everything we might need to know. The flat is right next to a cafe selling the best granitas we have tasted in Sicily, and a few minutes walk from the market, where we had some of our best meals. Swimming off the pontoon was paradise. We couldn't understand why such a beautiful place wasn't overrun with tourists in August: I guess we were extremely lucky!
Don't bother going to Schiticchio in Via Cavour. It was the only restaurant that felt like a cynical tourist trap.

Despite some initial confusion the stay was most enjoyable.
The set up of the rooms was fine, nice and clean and well laid out. The unit was contained within a building with many other units, privately owned. It was quiet and well maintained.
The address given was in fact not the address of the property. This required contact with the owner to come to our location and lead us to the correct position. It seemed that were two locations that used the same address. Very confusing.
