A Wonderful Week at Casa Carbone, Rome 🇮🇹
A Wonderful Week at Casa Carbone, Rome 🇮🇹 We stayed at Casa Carbone for 7 nights with 4 adults and had a really lovely stay. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped, with practically everything you could think of needing for a comfortable stay in Rome! What we loved: The kitchen was a real highlight, with an excellent range of utensils, crockery and cooking equipment, including a microwave, coffee pots, gas stove and oven. There was also a washing machine and, particularly appreciated, a great clothesline off the back balcony complete with pegs — perfect for doing laundry while travelling. The main bedroom also opens onto a lovely front terrace, a beautiful little bonus. The building is secure and has a lift, which is always welcome when travelling with luggage. Despite being surrounded by other apartment buildings, the apartment was surprisingly quiet, making it a peaceful place to return to after busy days exploring Rome. Location: The nearest metro is approximately a 15-minute walk away, while supermarkets and a bakery are around a 20-minute walk. It’s worth factoring these distances into your plans, particularly when carrying groceries. A few things to know: There is one bathroom, with the toilet combined, and no separate living room or lounge area. There is, however, a good-sized kitchen table and chairs where everyone can sit together. Air conditioning is located only in the main bedroom, which is something to consider during Rome’s warmer months. The host deserves a special mention. Communication was excellent throughout, and having a responsive, helpful owner makes such a difference when staying somewhere for a week. Overall, Casa Carbone is a comfortable, practical and exceptionally well-equipped apartment for a group of four. We particularly appreciated the facilities for cooking and doing laundry, the lovely terraces, the quiet atmosphere and the excellent communication from the owner.

Nice owners, clean, nice terrace, free parking on the streets, noisy
Very nice and helpfully owners, very clean, except kitchen cupboards, spacious, great terrace, free parking in the neighbourhood, city train and night bus very close, subway relatively close
Noise: from planes landing to the nearby airport and medical emergency vehicles coming to the nearby hospital, outside of midtown of Rome, city train doesn't go to the bigger station (its station at Termini station is not that close to the subway station of the same name) and it doesn't run after 22.30, subway line doesn't go directly to the city centre, no very close (bigger) supermarket (or we haven't see it), not typical Italian neighbourhood if you want to feel that, but lots of interesting diverse shops on the other hand.
