    A fabulous small apartment and a welcoming friendly host, Michele, who said to contact her about any concerns. The bed was comfortable, the bedding and towels soft and white, plenty of storage and the kitchen was stocked with a good supply of staples. There was also a basket of welcoming croissants, jams etc.The place was bright and airy with a balcony with lake and mountain views, a small table and 2 chairs and a comfy seat to contemplate those views. A short downhill walk to the town and the lake and a short walk from the station, overall Casa Cesira is the best apartment I've ever stayed in. Don't hesitate!! AND...peaceful Pettenasco is a much better place to stay than Orta San Giulio with its crowds. There's a lovely north lake walk and a not so lovely south lake walk which becomes a busy road before returning to the lake and the town of Orta.

    Nothing about the apartment, but public transport from Pettenasco to and from Orta San Giulio takes some planning though it is doable.
