Casa Clara- a wee gem of a property
Casa Clara is a little gem hidden away in a quiet side street in Lucca. We were given lots of info about how to get there and were met by Tanya, patiently waiting with the keys and to give us a tour. She gave us a number to contact should we need it during our 3 night stay and her office was in the neighbourhood. The house is obviously someone's beautiful home as can be seen from the books, paintings and collections dotted throughout. It was clean, spacious and comfortable with well appointed bathrooms and lots of hot water. The terrace was a bonus although when we were there it was mostly in shade ( probably a godsend in the heat of summer) I noticed there were lots of lego in one of the boxes and toys in the cupboard so definitely a house that would suit everyone.
It was rather cold in the evenings and we couldn't work the heating although there were lots of blankets to throw on the beds.

LOVELY AND PEACEFUL ACCOMMODATION IN THE HEART OF TUSCANY
THE PROPERTY WAS SELF CATERING. THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT, WELL WITHIN REACH OF THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF LUCCA AND ITS SURROUNDING WALLS, BUT ALSO WONDERFULLY QUIET AND RELAXING. PARTICULARLY AS IT HAD AN OUTDOOR AREA WHERE ONE COULD EAT, OR READ, OR SIMPLY RELAX IN THE WARMTH OF THE ITALIAN CLIMATE.
VERY LITTLE TO SAY HERE. THE APARTMENT WAS QUITE DARK, BUT THIS COULD BE SEEN AS A PLUS, AS IT WAS ALSO COOL IN THE HOT WEATHER. ONE 'VERY' MINOR QUIBLE WAS THAT THE IRONING BOARD NEEDED REPLACING, IT WAS VERY FLIMSY AND THE COVER WAS TORN AND WELL PAST ITS SELL BY DATE!!

Wonderful stay in Lucca.
Casa Clara is in a lovely location, just near enough to the Centre to be really convenient, but just far enough away to be quiet and calm.
There isn’t anything not to like about this property. It is truly beautiful, with a wonderful verdant courtyard.
