    Smelly and dirty

    Central location

    Not clean and really smelly. The apartment had a really strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The manager said that this was normal for inner-city Rome. I have stayed in many places in Rome and have not had this issue. The apartment was not clean, one of the beds was dirty, a towel had blood on it, and the kitchen utensils were filthy. While the apartment was in a great location, it was really expensive and not great value.

    We are on a family tour of Europe and Rome was our first stop. Could have found a better spot to stay.
