    Trato excelente por parte de Manuela, la anfitriona. Tan sólo estuvimos un día de estancia y todo perfecto. Habitación y baño todo al detalle, resto de la casa y exteriores visitado con ambiente muy agradable.

    Breakfast is quite good and the view over the Douro towards Spain are nice. And the hostess is a very warm person and attends to the guests perfectly.

    The external building lacks seriously in sound-proofing. Every possible noise from the people in the room next door, the dogs in the houses nearby and even the hunters shooting in the distance came straight in. And on top of that the wind was blowing with such a force that there no no quiet time at all. The room itself is also very plainly decorated, having beds and one table with a few chairs. The room cannot be made fully dark as the AC keeps blinkin a bright blue light.

    Highly recommended.

    I enjoyed my stay at Casa Alpajares because they allow dogs and are very polite and considerate in this regard, something that’s hard to come by. The rest of the accommodation’s facilities are excellent. Highly recommended.

    I wasn’t keen on the fact that the facilities perhaps need a bit of maintenance. Because it really does have the potential to be a 5-star resort. But that’s perfectly forgivable.
