  Fantastic stay in a super special apartment and location

  What a beautiful apartment, all the details are so fitting with the medieval feel of the apartment. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice that everyone had their own room and bathroom. The location cannot be beat. It's super quiet in the apartment and then you walk around the corner and you are in the middle of Lucca. Very special place. Also great to park in front of the apartment. Really special place, well worth the price.

  Everything was great but I will say that not all types of vehicles will fit in the small streets to get to the apartment. If you have rented a van you will have a problem. I suggest you let the host know what type of car you are coming with upfront.

  Ottima posizione nella tranquillità in pieno centro con spazio esterno. Bel vantaggio il parcheggio auto! Lo consiglio.

  Tutto fantastico

  Soggiorno davvero piacevole e confortevole, in una casa ricca di fascino e personalità. La disposizione delle camere su piani diversi è ideale anche per famiglie. La posizione è perfetta: nel cuore della Lucca storica ma in un ambiente tranquillo e silenzioso. Molto comodo anche il parcheggio nel chiostro, un prezioso valore aggiunto per la nostra Mercedes Classe E. Lo consigliamo vivamente!

  Where history becomes a fantastic home, with all modern comforts you don’t even notice.

  Casa del Campanaro is in the cloister of the cathedral: an oasis of light and serenity, quiet and luminous even though it sits in the very heart of the historic center. This house gave us something far rarer. It stands so close to the campanile you could almost touch the stone — and yet, true to its name, no bells ring. You live in the most beautiful corner of Lucca and still sleep through the night. The house has its own stillness, wrapped in old walls, as if the city paused just beyond the door. Inside, it feels like a beautifully restored chapter of Lucca’s past. The restoration was done with painstaking respect for the original 11th-century materials: old stone, high ceilings, calm, history in every surface. What makes it remarkable is how completely the modern comforts disappear into that medieval soul. Quiet air conditioning, strong Wi-Fi, a real kitchen with a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, soundproofing, and parking on site inside the walls. The mattresses are wonderfully comfortable and the linens are of the highest quality. Along the stairs stands an original antique wooden statue of Pope Alexander II, bishop of Lucca in the mid-11th century, then pope, who never gave up this city. He rebuilt the Cathedral next door and helped shape the churches of the historic center. Passing him each morning is unforgettable. It is not decoration. It is a presence. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Each bathroom has a large shower with a comfortable built-in seat and hydromassage. After walking the walls and eating far too well, sitting down in that warm water became our favorite ritual of the stay. Then the moment I still think about: you step outside, walk twenty paces… and you are under the loggia of the Cathedral! Twenty steps from your own quiet door!

  Enttauschend.

  Das Haus was sehr sauber und innenarchitektonisch interessant geloest.

  1. Whirlpool: Eine solche Einrichtung war nicht vorhanden. 2. Terrasse: Es gab keine Terrasse. 3. Gartenblick: Es gab keinen Garten. 4. Küche: In dieser sehr spärlich ausgestatteten Küche war es nicht möglich, eine richtige Mahlzeit zuzubereiten. 5. Hausschuhe: Nicht vorhanden. 6. Kaffeemaschine: Tatsächlich handelte es sich um eine einfache, stark abgenutzte Bialetti, die man nur mit viel gutem Willen als „Kaffeemaschine“ bezeichnen kann. 7. Minibar: Ebenfalls nicht vorhanden. 8. Ankleidezimmer: Es gab kein separates Ankleidezimmer. 9. Keine Privatsphare da direkt neben der Eigang zum Campanile und einer oeffentlichen Toilette war und sehr viel Personenverkehrr direkt vor der Eingang stattfand. 10. Wegen arbeiten an der Gasleitung, konnte man nicht direkt vor das Haus fahren sondern musste sich umstaendlich circa 200 m entfernt taeglich einen neuen Parkplatz suchen. Der Eigentumer hat uns die Parkgebuehren zurueckerstattet. General entsprach die Unterkunft nicht den von Booking.com gemachten Angaben. Wir warten immer noch auf eine Stellungnahme von booking.com.
