    Very disappointing

    The host seems to be very nice and responsive, alas only by email. If you have a car, you're close to both the Picos and the beautiful beaches, which is a big plus.

    This is a neglected old house in need of thorough renovations. There's nothing traditional or charming in broken down rusty electric heaters, peeling off wallpaper or a shower curtain rail held by the mercy of a Scotch tape. All the mattresses are short. If you're 6 ft or taller, no bed will be comfortable for you. The squeaky floors aside, there's no single door or door handle in the house that would not cry when pressed. And speaking of noise, this is a tiny village with densely packed houses that essentially act as a massive sound box, and the village has a vibrant social life that *always* takes place outside and never quiets down before 1am. So no sleeping there unless you put on a pair of good ear plugs and shut your windows tight. In which case, of course, you wake up all sweaty in a stuffy room because the bedrooms are tiny and have no alternative means of ventilation.
