The best hostess we've ever had

Great!
The stay was a relatively short distance from the heart of the town (5-10mins max). The main path drops you right into the heart of town. The host was fantastic. She was very nice and helpful. Although she didn't speak English, she was super adept and the translator app and was very patient. She provided a lot of local information and background. She had extensive breakfast options. Excellent host and a great experience.

Very rude and upsetting behaviour by the host ruined what would have otherwise been a pleasant stay.
The facilities were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent - we were a 5 minute walk from the busy areas of Agrigento. There was space to park our car. Danika gave us lots of information about the history of the area and places to visit.
On our second evening, we had no running water in the bathroom or kitchen. We informed the host of the problem but did not receive a response until the next morning (which is understandable, given that it was 10pm). In the meantime, we used some drinking water from the communal dispenser in the kitchen to wash and drink. Danika was unreasonably angry when she discovered we had used this water, and we were asked to pay 10 EUR for its use. This was very surprising to us, since at check in, we had been told to make ourselves at home and to drink water from the dispenser, in line with the B&B's sustainability policy. Unfortunately, Danika was extremely rude with us from this point on until check out, which really soured our stay. We are very disappointed and upset at the way we were treated over this issue. On a separate note: we stayed in the Selene room. There is a large hole/window in the wall connecting the room to the communal space outside. This wasn't a problem during our stay since there were no occupants in the other room, but just be aware that it is not really a private room if there are other guests staying.
