  Decepcionante

  Habitacion muy amplia y nueva.

  Calle muy ruiidosa. Es muy ruidoso por la noche. La habitacion 1 tiene el ban̈o privado externo y resulta incomodo. No limpian la habitacion ni el ban̈o hasta el tercer dia de estancia. El ascensor es muy viejo y no funciona bien.

  Palermo at its most fun

  Great location, close to the theater and cathedral, convenient bus service to the central train station; many restaurants very close by and vibrant night scene

  Can be noisy; host provides ear plugs, but even then it was a bit loud at times.

  The stay at Paola's place was lovely, it's easy to tell that she put a lot of thought into the accomodation. We were lucky that our room was vacant the night before we arrived and she already let us check-in early in the morning (and otherwise had already said we could leave our bags at the place when we booked a couple months in advance). The place itself was very clean and as someone who is super sensitive to light, I appreciate that they had the kind of blinds (rolladen) that completely blocked out light in the room meaning that for once I was able to sleep without an eye mask. It also helped during the day against the hot Palermo sun, along with the in-room, controllable AC. Roll the shutters up and you have a cute little balcony to stand on. The accommodation is centrally located so we could easily drop by and rest a few minutes before continuing on to exploring more of the city. Paola provided clear instructions on how to arrive and check into the place and the combination of everything made for an easy, comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again should we return to Palermo.

  The walls within the apartment are a bit thin, but Paola is kind enough to provide ear plugs if needed. Pillows were also a little on the thin side, but we still slept comfortably.
