    Unexpectedly wonderful and tranquil stay!

    What a treasure! Very rarely in our travels do we find a place to stay where everything was fantastic! We had some concerns about being “isolated” in this small aldea. But those concerns were quickly set aside. First off, Helena is one of the best hosts we have ever had! Casa do Regedor was spacious, extremely clean, charming, and one of the best outfitted places in which we have stayed in both Europe and the US. The people in town are lovely and gracious as well, particularly if you greet them respectfully with a “bom día” or “boa tarde.” There is a very nice and well-used municipal pool (with cafe, of course) a small walk to the other side of town, as well. This is a charming and tranquil place to stay to explore northeastern Portugal. Oh, and do take advantage of the terrace on the second floor for a morning coffee and/or evening drink!

    Tudo estava ótimo! A casa dispõe de tudo o que é necessário, e foi possível levarmos a nossa cadelita que é uma mais valia. A simpatia e disponibilidade da D.Helena marcou também pela positiva a nossa estadia. Se voltarmos a Miranda do Douro certamente voltaremos a ficar hospedado na casa do Regedor. Obrigada pelos miminhos D. Helena ☺️
