    Wonderful discovery and stay in the Douro

    We had a very nice Stay An Antonio's house. It is set in the middle of a little Douro village and puts you right in the middle of the vineyards. The house itself is a traditional house with a long history with their family. It has everything you might need for a Douro vacation, but, keep in mind that you will, most probably spend lots of your time outside, in the vineyards. It also has a wonderful garden in which you can rest if you want. We spent a few days as part of our usual trip to the Douro. We already knew the region so it was very easy to go around. Antonio was very helpful, we arrived rather late in the first night and he was kind enough to wait for us and greet us. Given its location, you need a car or some sort of vehicle (bicycle, etc.) The house also offers a covered parking lot. So, all in all, this was a great experience and a great place to start discovering the Douro region, starting from its roots, the villages and people.

    Portuguese house up the hill. We enjoyed having a garden and the bbq terrace. There was enough space for everyone to enj

    Typical Portuguese house in the top of the hills. Very cosy and well equipped. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed every part of the house especially the garden and the bbq terrace. It was very hot and having the AC was a plus

    The roads did scare us at the beginning but we got used to it and we were happy going back the house in a quiet place

    Casa Dona Aninhas is an amazing house in the center of the douro wine region. It's in a very secluded group of houses with a great view of the valley and douro river. It's very peaceful and comfortable with no one around to disturb you. We were lucky enough to be there while the cherry, orange and lemons trees on the property were giving fruit. Casa Dona Aninhas has an amazing garden with lots of flowers and some plots of vines on the property.
