  La casa es enorme, tiene de todo y está muy nien organizado. Hay 3 baños, las camas son todas kingsize. Muy bonita.

  La subida a la casa es complicada, especialmente si baja algun coche por esa calle, que hay que bajar marcha atrás desde arriba. Por lo demás, un 10.

  A wonderful, high-quality home in Funchal

  We had an amazing stay for 3 weeks at Casa dos Arrifes! The house is exceptionally spacious, with large bedrooms and generous common areas offering plenty of room both inside and out. It is immediately clear that the owners have furnished this house as a true home rather than a generic tourist rental. The kitchen is extraordinarily well-equipped, filled with high-quality gear and more than enough supplies for everyone. The beds were also exceptionally comfortable, ensuring great sleep every night. Every comfort you could possibly need is provided. Torsten, the owner, was incredibly service-minded, welcoming, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The location in Funchal is comfortably tucked away from the main hustle, making the neighborhood peaceful while remaining close to the city center. The tradeoff is a solid uphill trek to get to the house, which gives you great free daily exercise, though it might not suit everyone. A standout feature is the marvelous garden, filled with beautiful trees and flowers—a rare luxury so close to the city. The house is located at the end of a dead-end road accessed through a very narrow passage. While the sign says 1.75 meters, our rental car (a Citroën C3) passed through just fine! Driving in Funchal can be a bit tricky at first, but you quickly adapt to it, and the locals in the neighborhood were incredibly friendly and helpful whenever two cars needed to pass each other in narrow spots. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you Torsten.

  Beautiful house, lovely garden and views. Great facilities. Extremely comfortable beds. Very spacious

  The location is up a very steep location, impossible for some vehicles to access. Although not essential, some English speaking DVDs would have been a nice addition .

  Wspaniały duży dom z ładnym widokiem, szczególnie z sypialni na piętrze. Wokół domu piękna roślinność, trawniki i wygodne tarasy. Bardzo sympatyczny kącik grillowy, z którego często korzystaliśmy a przygotowane w nim ryby smakowały wyśmienicie. Wewnętrzna, otwarta na salon, kuchnia była bardzo duża, wygodna i wyposażona we wszystkie niemal sprzęty o jakich tylko zamarzysz. Salon także był duży i dobrze wyposażony. Dom oferuje wiele miejsc przy których można zjeść wygodnie posiłek i to zarówno wewnątrz domu ale przede wszystkim na zewnątrz, korzystając ze wspaniałej, przyjaznej Maderskiej pogody. Materace w sypialni były wyjątkowo wygodne. Dodatkowo był duży wybór poduszek o różnej wielkości. Gospodarze domu byli wyjątkowo miły i był z nimi bardzo dobry kontakt. Dojazd do posesji ślepą uliczką dostarczał niezapomnianych wrażeń ale udawało się dojechać bez problemu nawet bez składania lusterek. Jeździliśmy Fordem Fiestą. Widać, że gospodarze zadali sobie dużo trudu aby gościom mieszkało się wygodnie i aby było im komfortowo. I tak właśnie się czuliśmy.
