  Home away from home!

  We have had an amazing stay at Casa Mar Azul! You are unlikely to find a better place to stay on Madeira and you're definitely not going to find better hosts! Sergio and Sandra have made us feel very welcome and comfortable, their remarkable attention to detail and care for their guests meant we can actually relax on our holiday. If you are travelling with a toddler, Casa Mar Azul has everything you might need during your stay and this has made a real difference for us. We will come back !

  Excellent views from this location in a very quiet area of the neighbourhood. Accomodation came with everything we needed utensil wise and the quality was very good. Nice added touch with a home made cake on arrival, and they also provided us with some coffee and other items like olive oil, salt and pepper, herbs which was useful. Another nice touch was to provide Uno and playing cards, as well as a decent TV with fast Wifi for the nights we didnt go out. Stable enough internet I found to work from on video call via Zoom.

  Amazing, unforgettable, breathtaking!

  The accommodation exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere is fantastic, the view unforgettable, and the cleanliness is of the highest standard. In short, it gives you a feeling of complete satisfaction. Sergio and Sandra are exceptional, paying attention to every detail, from the smallest gestures to the biggest acts of hospitality. They also provided all the information we needed about excursions, restaurants, beaches, activities, and much more. If there were a rating higher than 10, this place would certainly deserve an 11. As for the rest, you'll simply have to experience it by yourself.

  Casa Mar Azul was the perfect base for our time in Calheta. Sergio and Sandra are honestly some of the best hosts we’ve come across, warm and welcoming from the second we arrived, and always around if we had a question. But they also gave us plenty of space to just enjoy the place, which made the whole stay feel really easy and relaxed. The location is so central for getting around the island, we could easily reach both ends of Madeira without long drives, which made day tripping so much easier. The standard of cleanliness was up there with the best we’ve experienced, crisp pressed sheets, robes waiting for us, every detail taken care of. Sandra’s orange cake alone deserves its own five star review, we’re still thinking about it. We genuinely wanted for nothing the entire stay. The kids couldn’t get enough of the pool, honestly could barely drag them out of the water, and waking up to that view every morning was a treat for us too. We’d go back in a heartbeat and would recommend Casa Mar Azul to anyone visiting Madeira without hesitation. Thank you Sergio and Sandra for such a great stay, you really made our trip and we hope to be back!!
